AOC Reveals Fears Of DOJ Investigation As Tom Homan Issues Ominous Hint

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is pushing back against speculation that she could face scrutiny from the Department of Justice over her participation in an immigration rights webinar earlier this year. The congresswoman said she has formally asked federal officials whether she is under investigation, but claims she has received no response.

Speaking to Fox News, Ocasio-Cortez defended the February event, describing it as an effort to educate immigrants about their constitutional protections during encounters with immigration authorities. She insisted the webinar was fully protected under the First Amendment and denied accusations that it encouraged people to evade Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The controversy intensified after Tom Homan publicly suggested that authorities should review whether the event crossed legal lines. Critics argue the guidance offered during the webinar may have undermined immigration enforcement efforts, while supporters say informing individuals of their legal rights is entirely lawful.

Ocasio-Cortez warned that targeting an elected official without clear justification would mark a serious escalation in political tensions. She also argued that such actions could damage America’s democratic reputation and raise concerns internationally about the treatment of political opponents and civil liberties.
