Trump Says ‘Not Much Connection’ Between Missing, Dead Experts

President Donald Trump has sought to ease speculation surrounding a series of deaths and disappearances involving scientists and technical professionals linked to nuclear, aerospace, and advanced government research programs. He stated that any potential connection between the cases appears to be “minimal,” emphasizing that the number of individuals involved is very small compared to the overall population of scientists working in the United States. According to Trump, some of the cases appear to involve natural causes, illness, or self-inflicted deaths rather than any coordinated or suspicious activity.

The comments come after weeks of growing public discussion and online theories suggesting there may be a pattern linking roughly a dozen or more incidents that occurred between 2022 and 2026. The individuals in question reportedly had experience working in sensitive fields, including defense-related science, space exploration, and nuclear research, which has contributed to heightened public interest and concern.

Earlier statements from the White House indicated that federal agencies would review the matter. The FBI and NASA are reportedly among the organizations examining the cases, although no official findings have been released confirming any connection between them.

At the same time, members of Congress have called for further transparency. Rep. Eric Burlison and other lawmakers have raised concerns about the number of scientists involved and have urged federal agencies to provide detailed briefings. They argue that clearer answers are needed given the national security implications of the fields these individuals worked in.

Reports have cited multiple cases of deaths and disappearances, including both civilian researchers and former military or intelligence personnel. Some of these cases have been officially ruled accidental or attributed to health-related causes, while others remain under review.

Despite the attention, authorities have not confirmed any evidence of a unified explanation or coordinated cause behind the incidents. Investigations remain ongoing, and officials have cautioned against drawing conclusions until all facts are established.
