Donald Trump Appoints Pam Bondi to Key White House Role After Firing Her — Report

Just weeks after departing her position as Attorney General, Pam Bondi is reportedly returning to the Trump administration in a new role connected to artificial intelligence policy. Reports indicate that Bondi has joined the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, commonly known as PCAST, a White House group that helps guide federal policy on emerging technologies and scientific innovation.

The council includes several major figures from the technology industry, such as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison. The panel is overseen by White House science adviser Michael Kratsios and tech investor David Sacks, who previously served as an AI adviser.

Bondi is expected to help coordinate communication between administration officials and technology executives as the government addresses questions surrounding AI regulation and development. Vice President JD Vance praised the decision, describing Bondi as an important and trusted member of President Donald Trump’s team.

In addition to the AI panel, Bondi is also expected to take on a separate advisory role tied to national infrastructure. Reports also noted that she recently underwent treatment for thyroid cancer and is currently recovering.
